Captain, Ryan Rogers

Captain Ryan Rogers has fished his entire life. He knows the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding areas like his back yard. Capt. Rogers holds a 100-ton inspected Coast Guard license and takes pride in producing the finest fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.

“I started working on local charter boats as a kid in my early teens and purchased the original Midnight Sun in 1998. My goal is to keep my customers and crew safe while providing the best TOTAL fishing experience possible. I enjoy teaching and working with kids on the boat as well, they are my future customers and if you teach a kid to fish you have a fishing buddy for life. Knowledgeable, personable, and with the skill to put fish in the box I strive to make each trip a successful one while providing memories that last a lifetime.”

1st Mate, Doug Grey

Doug Gray has worked on the water for the past 12 years and became mate on the Midnight Sun in 2011, he is also personable and very knowledgeable. Doug will educate you on our fishery and techniques, joke, and tell stories while keeping everything in order, lines in the water, and filling the box with fish. Doug holds a 50-ton Masters License and is more than capable of running the Midnight Sun.
